Conceived as a home before becoming a restaurant, Casa do Largo is shaped by a fundamental idea: comfort as a language.
There is an immediate sense of intimacy to the space, almost domestic in nature, where every decision contributes to a feeling of effortless welcome. Timber, textiles and warm lighting come together to create an enveloping and continuous atmosphere, where time slows and the desire to linger emerges naturally. The lighting, carefully studied, plays a quiet yet defining role, bringing depth, rhythm and a certain density to the space.
Inside, the expression is distinctly characterful. Colour, material richness and a strong textile presence define a layered and sensory environment. Patterns, velvets and embroidery introduce texture and depth, establishing a subtle balance between intensity and restraint - a controlled maximalism, where each element finds its place without overwhelming the whole. Classical references are reinterpreted with lightness, allowing the space to feel both timeless and lived-in.
Outdoors, the terrace unfolds as a natural extension of this narrative. The handcrafted terracotta flooring introduces texture and memory, while the surrounding greenery creates an organic, ever-changing backdrop. There is a picturesque, almost spontaneous quality to the setting, reminiscent of an inhabited garden, where the experience feels relaxed and unforced.
Between interior and exterior, Casa do Largo establishes a quiet continuity, where architecture, materiality and atmosphere merge seamlessly.
A place that does not impose itself, it reveals itself.
