Penthouse

At the pinnacle of this historic building — rehabilitated by the renowned Saraiva + Associados — lies the Penthouse Casal Ribeiro, a singular space set beneath an iconic glass dome. This project was one of the most exhilarating challenges for our atelier, requiring a meticulous approach to balance design, functionality, and comfort within an environment flooded with natural light.

We undertook a complete reconfiguration of the layout, redefining the spatial dynamics to enhance fluidity and well-being. Every detail was custom-designed, from bespoke carpentry to kitchen installations, walk-in closets, cabinets, wine cellars, and bookshelves — all conceived by our atelier and meticulously crafted in Portugal, reinforcing the artisanal excellence and technical precision that define our work.

Beyond interior design, we developed an in-depth furniture curation, ensuring that each piece was either hand-selected or custom-designed to complement the uniqueness of this space.

One of the most intricate aspects of the project was managing the interplay of natural light. Surrounded by expansive glass façades, the penthouse is bathed in daylight from morning to evening, requiring a carefully calibrated lighting strategy to strike a perfect balance between transparency and privacy — creating an atmosphere that is both luminous and intimate.

Further elevating the identity of this space, we curated a selection of artworks by national and international artists, establishing a dialogue between art, architecture, and design, transforming the penthouse into a living gallery.

The result is an urban sanctuary where heritage and modernity merge seamlessly, positioning Penthouse Casal Ribeiro as a landmark of elegance and exclusivity in the heart of Lisbon.
